9 point demand of quota movement in Bangladesh
Times Bangla News 24.com:-In their demand for quota reforms, the student movement against discrimination has presented a nine-point demand to the government.
To achieve these demands, they are undertaking various programs. Today, Friday (August 2), they conducted demonstrations at Shahbagh and other locations across the country after Friday prayers.
Their 9 demands are as follows:
Demand 1: The Prime Minister must apologize to the nation for the student deaths.
Demand 2: The Ministers of Road Transport and Bridges and the Home Minister must resign from their respective ministries and parties for their responsibility in the student deaths.
Demand 3: The DIG and Superintendent of Police from the areas where student deaths occurred must be dismissed.
Demand 4: The Vice-Chancellors and Proctors of Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Jahangirnagar University, Jagannath University, and Chittagong University must resign.
Demand 5: Compensation must be provided to the deceased and injured students.
Demand 6: Police officers and ruling party terrorists accused of the student deaths must be arrested and charged with murder.
Demand 7: Political student organizations should be banned, and student unions should be reinstated.
Demand 8: All educational institutions and hostels should be reopened immediately.
Demand 9: Measures must be taken to ensure that no student participating in the movement faces academic or administrative harassment.
They also stated that they will continue their peaceful protests until their demands are met.
